We are looking for a Care Coordinator with strong skills to join our Lewiston team! The Children's Care Coordinator in the ShifaME program works with a team of professionals at Spurwink that provide culturally sensitive services to refugee and immigrant children. The Care Coordinator on this team provides case management for children. The ShifaME team utilizes Trauma Systems Therapy for Refugees (TST-R) an evidence-based model for refugee and immigrant children, adolescents, and their families impacted by complex trauma associated with histories of war, persecution, resettlement, and acculturation.

This position also includes a $3500 sign-on bonus, $1750 paid upon 3 months of full-time employment, $1750 paid after 6 months of employment.

The Care Coordinator will complete psychosocial assessments and develop plans of care for youth with the support of the family or caregivers. The Care Coordinator oversees the implementation of the plan of care and documents progress on goals. The Care Coordinator supports refugee youth by assisting with access to resources and maintaining contact with the youth and family while working with team members and community professionals.


Bachelor's degree from a 4-year institution of higher learning. Experience doing cross-cultural work and/or experience with traumatized children and families is preferred.
